CANFRANC STATION

The construction of the Canfranc International Railway Station is part of the project to create a border crossing through the Pyrenees that would connect Spain with France, taking advantage of the line that linked Tardienta with Huesca and Huesca with Jaca.

A LURTE in the old “Casa de los Ingenieros” and dedicated to the management of risks in the mountains within the Pyrenees is a way to get to know the surroundings of Canfranc.

ROUTE OF THE BUNKER

The “Route of the Bunkers of the P line” will lead us through the defensive constructions built between 1944 and 1959 while we enjoy a fantastic walk.

SANTIAGO’S ROAD

The section of the French Camino de Santiago that joins Canfranc Estación and Canfranc Pueblo is about 3.5 km long. At the exit of Canfranc Estación we take the path, pass in front of the mouth of the tunnel and descend to the bottom of the river Aragón.

CANFRANC VILLAGE

Located on the Camino de Santiago, Canfranc town was born in the 11th century in the middle of a valley with scarce agricultural resources, which made its inhabitants dedicate themselves to trade and the reception of travelers and pilgrims.
